# V307 actual MCP palm snap report

## Change

V307 replaces the old learned `pointA/pointB` local hand coordinates with contact points derived from the actual hand MCP frame:

- `pointA`: pinky MCP + ~20 mm palm-surface offset
- `pointB`: index MCP + ~20 mm palm-surface offset

The old points could float away from the rendered hand and create a false positive side/surface gate. V307 makes the points follow the actual palm plate.

## Safety

- Entry-frame state machine from V306 remains active.
- V301 side/surface gate remains active.
- New post-commit `NEXPROD01_V307_ACTUAL_MCP_PALM_SURFACE_GATE` measures actual Index/Pinky MCP-derived palm points against the lower-leg capsule.
- Finger release is explicitly disabled unless `__NEXPROD01_ENABLE_V307_FINGER_RELEASE=true`.

## Expected next step

Run browser/WebGL views and visually verify that green/yellow/blue markers are attached to the actual palm/hand, not floating in solver space.
