# V313 wrist restart chain report

V313 implements the user correction: after the left wrist-node 180 reset, the left arm/hand/palm chain is restarted before any finger layer.

## Static validation

- Root runtime `node --check`: PASS.
- Asset runtime `node --check`: PASS.
- Runtime version: `V313_WRIST_RESTART_CHAIN`.

## Browser audit

Audit file: `diagnostics/v313_quick/V313_QUICK_BROWSER_AUDIT.json`.

Right remains control PASS. Left executes both:

- `NEXPROD01_V312_WRIST_NODE_180_RESTART` with 180 degrees on `L_Hand`.
- `NEXPROD01_V313_WRIST_RESTART_CHAIN`, applied true, pass true, failedCount 0.

But post-commit actual MCP gate still fails left:

- status: `LEFT_OR_ACTIVE_HAND_WRONG_WAY_THROUGH_OBJECT`
- wrongWay: true
- orientationFail: true
- index penetration: 0.04276 m
- pinky penetration: 0
- fingers: blocked

## Conclusion

V313 proves that simply restarting the chain after the wrist-node 180 is not enough, because the restarted palm-plane/CCD fit re-converges to the old target palm basis. The wrist reset is executed, but the target-space palm authority can still rotate the actual hand back into a wrong-way relation.

Next fix must preserve wrist polarity as an invariant while restarting: after 180 wrist reset, rebuild/rotate the target palm basis from actual MCP palm points, then run arm snap/object-meet. Do not refit to stale `PalmIndexBase/PalmPinkyBase` targets that encode the old polarity.
