# NEXT Athlete OS v96 RC14 – Previous background minimal fix

## Based on
v96 RC12, not RC13.

## Why
RC13 used a different image and the render fixture looked like a redesign. The requested direction is:
- keep the previous preferred background image
- do not change dashboard typography/buttons/layout
- only make the background visible

## Fixed
- Restored/kept previous background image:
  - `assets/img/v93/hero/hero-dashboard.webp`
- Added global dashboard background layer using the same image.
- Kept changes minimal: no broad redesign of text/buttons/layout.
- RC11 pass-control fixes are retained through the RC12 base lineage.

## Render QA
This time render QA uses the actual `preview.html` + actual `app.css`, with only page size injected for WeasyPrint:
